Puerto Morelos lies between Cancún and Playa del Carmen, about 30 km north of Playa and 20 km south of Cancún airport. It has two parts: the old port, on the beach facing the Puerto Morelos Reef National Park, and the colonia next to the federal highway, about 2 km inland, where most people live. It is a small rental market compared with its neighbors.
